Senior Business Analyst
Job Summary
The Business Analyst (BA) will work as a liaison among the company stakeholders in order to understand the structure, policies and operations of the organization, and to recommend solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals. You will interpret client needs, assess requirements, and identify solutions to non-standard issues and requests, provide advice and direction to clients, and contribute to solutions by providing input into strategy, workflows, and delivery for assigned projects and programs.

Responsibilities
Define and utilize relevant business analysis techniques and methodologies to support the analysis, definition, and validation of requirements gathering
Collaborate with the project team and solution partners to bridge the needs of the business areas with the use of IT
Participate in design reviews with the business to support requirements/features management
Support and facilitate requirements elicitation during prototyping, focus groups, and interviews
Analyze requirements, support the construction of workflow charts and diagrams, understand system capabilities, and write specifications for use cases as required
Create test cases and end to end scenarios for system testing, user acceptance testing
Participate in testing and documenting defect and issue reporting
Work with training and OCM to help translate test cases and business requirements to training materials
Participate in cut-over activities
Support business during training execution and post go-live support
Identify risks and inform the leadership team of potential mitigations
Education, Experience & Skills
Degree, diploma or certification in Accounting, Business, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business Analysis, or related discipline
Minimum of 7–10 years’ experience doing Business Analysis
Ability to express complex project concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing, to diverse audiences
Experience working with more than one software development approach
Strong facilitation, negotiation, problem-solving and mentoring skills
Very strong verbal and written communication skills including presentations
Knowledge of Business Analysis best practices
Strong customer service focus with the proven ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with team members, stakeholders, and management
Ability to translate requirements into processes and controls
Demonstrated ability to build strong partnerships with all levels of the organization through intuitive business insight and personal credibility; this includes the ability to make recommendations and influence outcomes
IT methodology and/or process implementation background
Knowledge of and experience with Regulatory/Compliance projects is a distinct asset
Experience with SAP projects would be an asset
